When McCloy Group entrusted us with the task of naming and branding their new residential land estate in Lochinvar, Hunter Valley, we knew we had to create a standout identity that would set it apart from the numerous other developments in the region.

Our guiding insight came from delving into the history of the Lochinvar area, where we discovered the rich heritage of one of the first commercial wineries in the 1840s. This inspired the name and brand - Kaludah, paying homage to the past while embracing the present.

Our strategy was to craft a brand that not only celebrated the Hunter Valley but also captured the essence of the local vineyards and landscapes surrounding the estate. We wanted to showcase the celebrated McCloy difference, delivering premium, aspirational, and quality living with a strong connection to the rural family lifestyle.

The concept of Kaludah Lochinvar successfully reflects this vision, symbolising the vineyards with its deep earthy green and vine leaf insignia, cleverly incorporating a hidden letter K. The brand exudes a sense of place and identity, fostering a connection between the development and its natural surroundings. 

Our deliverables included the brand logo, comprehensive style guide, and proposed options for estate signage, social media collateral, and billboards – all combining to showcase Kaludah Lochinvar as an exceptional and alluring residential opportunity in the Hunter Valley.
